Own Refining Night Cream & Firming Silk Concentrate

I received 2 more Own products for consideration, their Refining Moisture Night Cream and Firming Silk Concentrate. Again, they’re both anti-aging products. I want to start by saying that I have been continually using their Lifting Eye Cream since I first received it and still love it.

I didn’t have a night cream so I was excited to try one out. Unfortunately  I just couldn’t get over the smell and only used it once. To me, it smells like rubber. It also left my face oily the next morning and clogged my pores. Since my mom was in town, I let her use the cream. She used it every night for a few weeks and really liked it. She didn’t mind the smell of the cream and thought that it smelled like oranges. I have since let her keep the cream. She said she couldn’t see any visible differences in her skin but will continue to use it.

In the past, I have sampled Estee Lauder’s Advanced Night Serum and really liked it. I thought the Firming Silk Concentrate would be similar. The first thing I noticed was how large the bottle was. You get a lot of product compared to other serums that come in a smaller package. The serum is also very greasy/watery feeling. You don’t even need to us the eye dropper to dispense the serum, it drips right out. I was worried that the serum would feel way to greasy on my face but surprisingly, it melted in to my skin and I woke up the next day with a fresh non-greasy feeling. I haven’t used the serum enough to see/feel a difference but I will continue to test it out.
