DIY: Peanut Butter Dog Treats

How to make DIY Peanut Butter Dog Treats2 days ago marked the 1 year mark that we have had Enzo and presumably, his 3rd birthday. To celebrate, I wanted to make him some homemade dog treats. It was super easy to make and he loved them. Below is a collage that I put together of him. The top left picture is from the day we took him home from the animal shelter.

What You Need:

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup of natural creamy peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil

Step One:

Pre-heat your oven to 350°. Mix all of the ingredients together in a large bowl. It’s easiest to get your hands dirty and knead the dough together that way.

Step Two:

Once all of the ingredients are mixed together, grease a cookie sheet or use parchment paper on a cookie tray, and roll the dough out on to the sheet. You can use cute cookie cutters but since I didn’t have any, I just cut them in to small squares.

Step Three:

Place the cookie dough in to the oven and bake for 20 minutes. Once cool, break them apart and serve to your tail-wagging pup.

This recipe is super easy and prepares plenty of treats. I placed most of them in the freezer so that they will keep longer and the ones that I want to serve in a plastic container. This recipe has Enzo’s approval and I’m sure your pup will love them too!

Enzo approved!
