I spent half of my day yesterday cleaning. One of the the things I tackled was cleaning my microwave. It’s one of those things that I usually don’t think to clean unless there’s a huge mess but it is important to clean it at least once a month to prevent odors and even bugs. It’s super easy and you don’t have to buy any special cleaner.
All you need is a large bowl or a 2-cup measuring cup, vinegar, water, and a sponge, towel, or paper towel.
Mix 1 cup water with 1 cup of vinegar and microwave it for 5 minutes. Once the 5 minutes is up, you’ll have a bunch of steam and condensation along the inside of the microwave. Be careful when removing the mixture as it will be hot. Next, wipe out the inside of your microwave. Don’t worry, the vinegar smell will go away shortly.
To clean the outside of your microwave, you can use Windex or a mixture of water and dish soap.
